Price history in Moldova: know when to buy
Updated:
redu keeps the price history for every product at every store in Moldova - updated periodically, over the last 3 months by default and expandable to the full record. You see the best price right now, the all-time low, and how far below the average today’s price sits - so you know when it’s genuinely a good time to buy or stock up. A “-40%” tag alone won’t tell you that; the history will.
What does price history show?
For every (product, store) pair, redu charts a trend line per store - the regular and discounted price over time, with a clear was/now gap. Above the chart you get the best price right now, the all-time low, and how far below the cross-store average the current price is. Together they tell you, at a glance, whether today’s price is actually a good one.
When is a price genuinely good?
A price is worth acting on when it’s near its recent low or clearly below the cross-store average - not just because a tag says “-40%”. For things that keep (coffee, drinks, household staples) that’s the moment to stock up, since a deal that good may not return for weeks. The history turns a guess into a decision.
Real examples
Pringles Original 165g ranged from about 37 to 75 lei across five stores over three months - so around 40 lei (roughly a third below the average) is near its low, a good moment to stock up. Corona Extra 0.35l swung between about 23 and 42 lei, with its low near 23. Without the history, the same “-40%” tag could mean either a real low or just an average price. Also check the current catalogs and deals in Moldova - the history tells you which of them are real lows.
